The filter ritual, in four steps.
Melitta invented the paper coffee filter. This is how to make filter coffee like the original from 1908, with the products available in Chile.

A paper filter
that changed coffee.
In 1908, in Dresden, Melitta Bentz punched holes in the bottom of a brass pot, lined it with blotting paper from her son’s notebook and, for the first time, filtered a coffee with no grounds and no bitterness. That same year she registered the patent and founded the company that bears her name.
Since 1929 Melitta has been based in Minden, Germany, and today the group produces coffee, filters and machines for Europe, the Americas and Asia. Its roasted ground coffee, instant drinks and paper filters, true to the original idea, are available in Chile.
